The AirForce TexanLSS .257 Caliber combines the power and long-range performance of the full-size Texan with the sound-reducing benefits of AirForce’s shrouded LSS platform. Developed from direct feedback from hunters who wanted the performance of the traditional Texan with a reduced sound signature, the TexanLSS delivers 200+ FPE and velocities exceeding 1,000 FPS in a purpose-built .257 caliber hunting rifle.
At the heart of the TexanLSS is a 34-inch Lothar Walther barrel, providing the barrel length needed to take full advantage of the Texan’s available air and deliver excellent velocity, energy, and downrange performance. The barrel is fully shrouded, helping reduce muzzle report while maintaining the power that has made the Texan platform a benchmark among high-powered PCP air rifles.
The rifle utilizes a 500cc air tank with a maximum fill pressure of 3,000 PSI / 206 BAR. Depending on projectile and rifle setup, shooters can expect approximately 4–5 powerful shots per fill.
A two-stage adjustable trigger provides a clean, predictable break, while the single-shot sidelever action keeps operation simple and dependable in the field. An adjustable buttplate allows the rifle to be better fitted to the individual shooter, and the ambidextrous grip makes the TexanLSS equally comfortable for right- or left-handed use.
The updated TexanLSS platform features a Picatinny scope rail for modern optics along with upper and lower dovetail accessory rails, providing additional mounting options for field equipment. A manual safety provides positive control when carrying and handling the rifle.
At 51.5 inches overall and approximately 8 pounds, the TexanLSS .257 is a substantial hunting platform designed around power, accuracy, and long-range capability.
